Attendance Expectations
ITAC operates as a small team with overlapping responsibilities. When one person misses a shift, a meeting, or a site visit, the work either does not happen or falls to someone else on short notice. Reliability is one of the clearest signals of professional readiness, and it is treated as such.
Scheduled Shifts and Meetings
You are expected to be present and on time for every scheduled shift, team meeting, and one-on-one. If you cannot make it, notify your lead and the affected attendees as far in advance as possible. A short message the night before is acceptable; a missed meeting with no explanation is not.
During designated in-person work time, you are expected to be in the office. Remote work outside of those windows is covered separately under the Remote Work Policy.
Site Visit Attendance
Site visits are different from internal meetings. A facility manager has cleared their schedule, arranged escorts, and in many cases pulled production staff off their normal work to host us. Cancellations and no-shows have direct consequences for the client and for ITAC's reputation with that facility.
The expectations for site visit days:
-
Arrive fifteen minutes early. Lateness is unprofessional and disrespectful of the host's time. If the visit starts at 9:00, you are at the meeting point (generally a parking lot area) by 8:45.
-
Plan for traffic and parking. "I left on time" is not a valid reason to arrive late. Build in a buffer.
-
If you are running late despite planning ahead, call the assessment lead immediately so they can inform the host.
-
Do not back out of a site visit on short notice except for genuine emergencies or illness. If you must back out, contact the assessment lead the moment you know.
A pattern of lateness or last-minute cancellations is grounds for being removed from the program.
Illness and Emergencies
Do not come to the office or to a site visit if you are sick. Notify your lead as early as you can and arrange to make up any time-sensitive work remotely if you are well enough to do so. Genuine emergencies are handled case by case and never count against you.
