DOE Certificate
Background
The Department of Energy (DOE) Headquarters issues Certificates of Participation to students that meet minimum criteria for successful participation in the ITAC program. The certification criteria were established by a panel of current ITAC Directors, reviewed by ITAC Lead Students, and approved by DOE Headquarters. Certificates will identify the student, center, number of assessments completed, ITAC service dates, academic status of the student (undergraduate or graduate) during his/her service, and core skills achieved.
Minimum Criteria
The certificates verify that the student has met the following minimum criteria:

Completion of a minimum of 2 semesters or summers with the ITAC.

Attended a minimum of 6 individual plant assessments.
- A maximum of 2 commercial assessments can count towards the 6 minimum.

Demonstrates a minimum of 8 of the 10 Core Skills.

Student has a complete and accurate record in the ITAC student registry.

Student has completed the Entry Survey and Exit Interview (if applicable).
- An Exit Interview is only required if a student has graduated or left the program.
